We spent Christmas Eve with Jason's family. We met at his sister Jessica's for dinner.
Jess loves to cook and have dinner parties... Everything was so good. I even tried her sweet potatoes and actually liked them!

Jared & Jenny of course brought Chubs since they were staying the night
After dinner we headed over to Jason's dad's for games & to spend the night. Kacey was in town and it was really good to see him. It was so much fun to get eveyone together.

Christmas Day

We woke up Christmas morning at Scott & Jackie's...at 6:30-- I have never woken up that early for Christmas and hopefully won't have to again!
While opening & exchanging presents I we couldn't help but notice the wrapping job that Jared did...looks like a big diaper.
Scott made us all breakfast

My mom made our usual sticky buns for breakfast

Liz ♥ Judd's Wedding Day

My cousin Liz got married on the 21st. It was a great day and of course she looked amazing. She is the last of us four Pugmire girls to get married!
Liz & Judd
The Father of the Bride...
Waiting outside the temple
It was SO cold. Right about here is where I heard my mom say to my dad, "So...you wanna go somewhere?" We were all like WOW MOM. I hope she was just referring to getting out of the cold.
Bridesmaids
Miken's cold hands
They had a luncheon at the Joseph Smith Building. It was so nice. Here my dad is saying a few words about the temple ceremony after they exchanged rings.

Later that night at the Alta Club where they had their reception

Enjoying the BEST desserts ever with Jase
Cutting the cake
The First Dance. It was so sweet.
♥ Your wedding day was beautiful Liz and a lot more emotional for me than I expected! Remember how I could NOT stop crying during the video? You mean so much to me and I always hope the best for you. Judd really is so lucky- I love you!

Early Christmas

Our family got together last night at Miken & Eddy's place in Sandy since they are going to be gone visiting his family in Texas over Christmas. It was so much fun.
Kelly & Daffy after dinner
About to watch Tales from the Crypt...my mom says it's not a tradition of ours, but it I swear we somehow end up watching it every year around Christmas. Eddy's mom is here in town staying with them right now and I'm pretty sure she thinks we are crazy, haha. Once again, our family is not very conventional sometimes...who needs A Christmas Story, or It's a Wonderful Life when you have this: Tales From the Crypt (1972)
Everything tonight was great, but Kelly really made my night by making my favorite candycane cookies! (Candycane is my nickname you know) I had more cookies than I had dinner-Which is probably a good thing since I have been withering away without Jason home to make me dinner. He's been gone a week and I have lost a pound every day he's been gone!! Kelly you are the BEST, and Jase we missed you...
♥ Thanks Miken- tonight was SO much fun (even though Eddy killed everyone at Dominoes) and I know you went to a lot of work to make dinner. It's going to be crappy with you guys gone for Christmas... It definitely won't be the same... it will be BETTER. Ha Ha J/K! That was for Eddy.

Thank you.

Lame to post about my tried & true makeup must-haves? Probably, but makeup is just something I get excited about (Elsha & Jessica I know you can relate) so I thought I'd share my faves with all of you since I went and replenished my supply this week :)
♥ Anyway, thanks to these essentials for giving me a chance in life. We make a good team.

P Daddy

So my dad had to have emergency surgery on his appendix last night. I got a phone call from my mama when I was just about to leave work. I headed over to Lakeview and found my dad laying on the stretcher, about to be taken to the OR. Of course he proceeds to tell me the story of how sick he felt the night before, "writhing in agony" and throwing up. So he went to the dr the next day and they pretty much told him his appendix was coming out that night because it was really inflamed. Luckily all went well and there were no issues.
Ps--In the pic above, he is doing "bear paws" like on his gown. Wow.
Here he is after surgery at about 10:00 that night. We were glad everything went well --you can tell he feels a lot better :) This incident made me realize just how much my family uses humor in serious situations to make ourselves feel better. I'm pretty sure the surgeon we met thought we were crazy.
Quote of the day: "My appendix was puffy, so I named it "P Diddy". Not joking. He said he named his appendix P Diddy.

As Expected...

...Us original Tepanyaki girls got together again. We usually try to around the holidays. I can't believe that it's been 6 years since I got hired on and given my hideous pink, mid-calf length kimono... I really don't think I could ever wait tables again. It is most exhausting job I have ever had--and I have had a few!

We got some sushi on the house...snowman and all.

Ya this pic is kinda crappy but I took it with my phone

Elsha, Stacey, Me & Lindsey
♥ I really miss spending so much time with these girls--so many ridiculous stories. Every year we reminiss about decorating the tree in the foyer and finding a dead rat in the box of ornaments... That story never gets old.

PS Jase I know how much you ♥ Tepanyaki so I'm sorry. Miss you.

Christmas Party

Saturday was the Petersen Christmas party at Jason's aunt's house in Tremonton. It was quite the drive considering the snow storm and Jared crying in the back seat. We were glad to get there & out of the car!
Jason's dad & Jackie flew in from Chicago just for today
Jared & Jenny playing some bingo
Kristy & Kelli opening the cute cookie jar that Grandma gave all the girls
Scott, Jan, Jessica & me
We tried to do a group photo here but Jenny blew it.
After the party we figured we better get us a tree before Jason goes out of town or we probably wouldn't get one at all! We stopped by Smith's, picked one out and threw it in the back of the Matrix (ya our little hatchback) and it's a pretty big tree! I may or may not have stolen it from someone else because apparently as we were walking away with it, Jason heard a lady tell her husband "That's the tree I wanted!" PWND.
Got it all decorated... Love it. Now it finally feels like Christmas around here.
Even Roxie is feeling the Christmas spirit...
♥ Today I had to wake up and take Jason to the airport at 5 a.m. in a blizzard. It was rough--glad that's over. Finally made my way home, got somewhat ready & then went and babysat our Sunday School class (even though they are 14). They are all boys and one girl and generally really funny...I just have to try really hard to keep things church related. Well today one of the boys said "You look different today...and tired...like less tan and make-upy." Then another kid said "She looks the same! Do I need to beat you up!?" Haha I get a kick out of them...but seriously I am lookin haggard. At least now I'm home just hanging out with the dogs and watching movies...
They still seem to be enjoying the tree!

The Weekend

This weekend was a lot of fun. Saturday I went to Miken's apartment for "craft club" and took my mom as my date. My dad is out of town so I have been feeling bad for her. Neither of us did any "crafting" but I ate the treats! Then on Sunday we had dinner over at my mom's.
I discovered that Zoe still knows the tricks I taught her in highschool. We all hate Zoe so it's rare that she gets attention...we were all laughing at how ugly she was in this pic. I took one of her playing dead & rolling over but it's a little TOO graphic.

Jason needed a nap before the games started
Love my fam.
PS. we went out with Jess & Rhett and Jared & Jenny on Friday so pics may be coming. I'd have to steal them off Jenny's blog haha.
PSS. Chrissy has been gone for a year now. Sad!

Thanksgiving
So on Wednesday night me and Jase were bored (and I was being pouty) so we decided we'd do something "fun". So we made crab for dinner and pumpkin pie for dessert...and by WE I mean Jason. Doesn't he look hot when he cooks? At least that's what I tell him. Oh, and that night I also discovered that even though I don't really love egg nog, I DO really love pumpkin spice egg nog. Sadee at work will tell you that I am a pumpkin junkie; pumpkin pie, pumpkin jamba juice, pumpkin cream cheese and pumpkin cholcolate chip cookies. i ♥ it.
Documentation of me helping...see that's me pourin it up
Oh and PS we had Jared & Jenny's dog Chubs all week since they are on a late honeymoon. I am in love with him--how could i NOT be?!
Thanksgiving Day we spent at my Grandma Coyla's house with my mom's side. Carli was up from Moab which always makes for a good time.
Some of the Fam.

Speaking of camera, I really wanna kill Eddy.

After hanging at my grandma's, we stopped by my dad's brother's house & hung out with Liz & Judd since they were up from St. George. They are getting married on Dec 21st. I just learned today that he hates dogs...Liz nothing's final til you say I do! Haha. After we went home, sent Judd almost every dog picture I had saved on my phone. I'm funny.

This picture requires a lot of explaining but I can't. Just know that it is NOT a night gown...it is basically a sleeping bag with sleeves and 2 holes for feet. I know my family did not think it would make the blog, either. Haha.

Lizard & me (this picture is purely me redeeming myself from the last one haha)

Eddy looks a little too happy. "Eddy in the middle" he says...
Petersen Thanksgiving, Last Weekend:

We did Thanksgiving with the Petersen's a week early since Jason's dad was in town. We had it at Jason's grandparent's house in Wanship. Here is Jared, Jess & Kristi.

Jason is pretty popular with the kids...unlike myself. I did get punched a couple times by Bronson. Jared told him to do it and he enjoyed it too much.

Here is Bronson after beating up on me. You can tell he really likes me.

It's fun now that there's more people. I was pretty much the first in-law and now everyone is married. Its crazy how things change. I kinda feel lost in the crowd now :) But it was good to see everyone & thanks for a fun holiday!
PS i forgot to say that we missed spending today with Jason's mom and kevin...hopefully we will see you soon!
